I have been told by a JW that our family knows that my mother will be in Paradise Earth because she was a christian.
MY non-JW mother will be in Paradise Earth!

I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that many JWs believe their loved ones will be resurrected to paradise if they die before Armageddon. I know my father hopes his parents will die before Armageddon, so that he can see them again. What a crock of.....

Actually, for many years the WTS taught that from 1914 on, humans were in a judgment period and if they died without becoming a JW, it was permanent. Then a few years ago, they adjusted their doctrine and said that the judging doesn't start until the beginning of the great tribulation when Jesus appears with the angels. The result then was that if non-JWs died before the GT, they were sure to be resurrected to the paradise.

Sorry to read about your lost Badboy. How interesting that a JW would say, 'your mom would in paradise because she was a CHRISTIAN!' The Creator is far more merciful than we know. Guest77

Yes, this is the argument used with my JW husband when his non-JW mother died. It puts a JW in a terrible bind, you see. Since she died before Armageddon, she has a chance to redeem herself in Paradise. But because my JW husband is not dead yet, his assurance is based soley on his works. If he doesn't get in to field service, he will not see his mom. It keeps him in, and working hard. Even though his own mother never went for it.
I think this also explains xJW and JW murder-suicides. The only way a failed JW can guarantee to see his/her own family, is to take them out before Armageddon.

Badboy,
after rereading this post; it occurred to me that your mother might have passed on.... if that is so... I apologize for my sarcastic remark.....it was uncalled for and very insensitive of me.
my condolences....

Once again Blondie is absolutely right in her synopsys of the JW's current view.
What I always found strange with the current view, is that the unbelieving spouse of a JW could have been in contact with the truth for 50 years and die a week before Armagedon and still be worthy of a ressurection. On the other hand, God is going to wipe out 2 billion men, women and children in India and China who have never heard of Jehovah or Jehovah's Witnesses. It doen't make sense.

Yes thats what they believe, one of the annointed used to phone my mother regularly to tell her that my ill none JW father will be in paradise but my mother would not be because she knew the truth and wasnt practising it, whereas he had never been in the truth so would get a resurrection if he died before armaggedon (which he has done so).
Bad, I hope you are coping well with you're situation
