There is this Packer fan who is married to a Bears fan.

He loves her with all of his heart, but just can't get past the fact

    that

she is a Bears fan and therefore, kinda slow. He thinks long and hard,

    and

comes to a decision. As much as he loves Green Bay, he loves her more.

    He

decides to become a Bears fan.

After weeks of trying unsuccessfully to root for the Bears, he decides

    to

enlist the aid of a doctor.

"Doc, I want to become a Bears fan, is there any way you can do it?"

    the man

    asks.

"Well, it's quite simple, I just have to remove 1/3 of your brain, but

    it is

    a very dangerous procedure.

Are you sure you want to do this?" the Doctor asks.

"I have no other choice." the man says.

He wants to have the surgery right away. The doctor begins the

    procedure.

During the operation, his hand slips, and he cuts out too much of the

    poor

Packer fan's brain. While the man is recuperating, the doctor is pacing

around his bedside. The man starts to stir.

The doctor rushes over and says "Sir! I am so sorry, during the surgery

    I

mistakenly removed 2/3 of your brain!"

The man looks up at the doctor with a big smile on his face and says,

    "GO

    VIKINGS!"

Good one! My girl is a diehard Packers fan and Vikings hater. Sometimes I don't know which emotion is stronger. Anyway, she's gonna love this one! Thanks.

Um, the Vikings are tied for first place! So do the Bears and Lions suck even more then they do?

Every team has their turn for a winning streak. Teams go through cycles. The '85 Bears and '96 Packers had their championships. The Vikings ALMOST had one in '98 when they went 15-1 during the regular season.

"Big losers" were what the Red Sox were called until last year. This post could have been made about them before they won the World Series a few weeks ago.

They never win the big game. I know. I've been a fan for over 3 decades. Sigh.

I guess that's a short time compared to what Red Sox nation endured before 2004.

There is a BIG difference between doing everything right and still not winning the game. But the Vikes have had plenty of chances this year to be FIRST rather than "tied for first". In fact, in at least one game this year, they had the ball several times ready to score big and they just bumbled away the chance.

Sure. I'd like to see the Vikings win the Superbowl. But THEY have to begin to play better football then they have in the past.

I've been a Bears fan for as far back as I can remember but it drives me nuts that the third largest city in the U.S (and probably the second largest football fan base) has a team that sucks year after year. Arrrrr!! No wonder my two kids became Packers fans!!

I guess i have no brain for still rooting for the Aints oops I mean Saints!!!

But I also love Brett and Green Bay Packers and my husband Micheal Vick and the Atlanta Falcons....those are my 3 teams....hopefully one of them will make it to the Superbowl this year. Just gotta get past them damn Philly Eaglettes....
