... hit guys in the balls? My husband and I went to a party on Saturday night for his work. And....some kid I've never seen in my life went up to me and took a swipe at my boys! DAMNNIT! And when I said "Don't Hit me there kid!" he started to cry and everyone looked at me like I had just burned the American Flag. UGGGGHHH! One small glimmer of hope that I'll never have children...

well.. my guess is if the kid is short yet..... it's an easy within reach swing area..

but I don't know why they do it..

We do it because we can. I can't tell you how many times, while engaged in boisterous horseplay with my boyfriend, I've accidentally punched him in the yarbles instead of his tummy. Even when I'm not using much force, it seems really painful, so I'm trying to be more careful.

They see it used as humor on TV and try to duplicate it for attention.

Kids will be kids! I sure hope they aren't doing it on purpose! That's just bad manners and not right!

Insomniac, you just hit the "nail" on the "head" (sounds painful already... )... it really doesnt take much force, in fact just a slight flick in the right place at the right time can bring a guy to his knees. There have even been times when I have sat down in the wrong position and it felt like I have been given the ol' roshambo.

I have been nadulated many a time by my kid whilst horseplaying with him, I think they evolved to want to hit you there, like a rudimentary form of self defense. Or maybe children just like seeing adults in pain.

FMZ-You're right on the kids-they must be pre-programmed to go right for the goods. Our chicks always seem to get the Rooster right in the cock-a-doodle-doos. They don't do it on purpose, because they always cry like they've been spanked when daddy's writhing on the floor in pain. I have always advised him to wear a cup when he wrassles the girlies. I think that tender area is centrally located, easy access, arms reach from anywhere, the perfect target.
