Yep. But so is this board. Finding it before I found the internet was priceless. However, I don't know what it's like AFTER reading all the other info, UN, child abuse, etc.

shane i just recently read it myself.

much of whats in it i had already heard about here but to read it you really feel the sincerity of ray franz , a sense of history, you know he knows what he's talking about and towards the end of the book i was sobbing as he told heart breaking stories of the things his friends had to go thru. it is worth reading and i'll be going thru it again with a bible to flesh out my understanding of some of his thoughts.

Shane, Hi, Get yourself ready for the ride of your life, you will truly be amazed at things you were never told regarding the society. To get a near birds eye view of what takes place inside the merry old land of OZ. You may never be the same after reading it. Not for the faint of heart. It will, however, forever change how it is you view the WTBTS.

It was definitely an eye-opener when it came to their stance on neutrality, and how the brothers in Malawi suffered and died, while in other countries, the WTS broke the law and didn't remain neutral at all. That was one thing that really stuck out in my mind, because I'd already learned a lot from this site.

Yep, that's one amazing book. All I kept thinking when I was reading it was WOW!!! It couldn't believe some of the stuff I was reading. I like the way Mr. Franz presents the information in a very professional way. He's not bitter or lashing out at the organization like other books do. Even though I had left the organization over 8 years ago, it was still an eye opener.

If you still want more information after reading COC. I would suggest In Search fo Christian Freedom. I just finished it and I found it even more informative than COC. It goes much deeper into the spiritual aspect of their teachings and shows how allot of their teachings go contrary to the bible. Again he's not bitter or lashing out. He presents the information in a very professional manner.

Enjoy the book and I hope it helps you see things in a different light. I know it did for me. After reading both books, I now have a renewed interest in religion. I'm ordering myself a new bible (KJV) and I'm looking forward to reading it without the organization's teaching messing with my understanding it. I'm looking forward to reading it for what it is. The word of God.

You would think that as much animosity that exist here on this site, that you might find that same energy in the book, well, that energy does not exist in his writings. He is very respectful, objective, and may almost seem a little too "Kided Gloved" when taking on the hypocrisy that exist within the WTBTS!!!

You will not find a more reasonable person take on the Society, with all of the things he has gone thru.
