Christmas celebrations. Wearing of the Cross and Crown. Birthday celebrations. The idea that the stone witness corroborating Bibical time periods, namely the Egyptian pyramids. etc. etc. etc.

How about abandoning these practices, Child Abuse, Disfellowshipping, Shunning, No Blood Transfusions, Reporting time, Field Service, Five meetings a week, etc. etc. etc.

They stopped driving around vans with loud speakers on them playing speeches by Rutherford and Russell.

They stopped mobbing neighborhoods... they used to get several hundred JWs together and then all together start knocking on all the doors of a restricted neighborhood. They did this because they knew that the police stations could not hold all of them and that the police would be forced to let them go.

They stopped holding eight day conventions... two and three day conventions are more profitable because the facility rent is far less.

I'm being shunned and I'm not even a Witness. They feel I'm bad association because I'm NOT a Witness- I'd like to have some invisible paint- I would paint all the KIngdom Halls. :))))

Don't forget picketing churches and wearing placards with incindiary phrases.

By the way, what will a good JW say about all this outdated, obviously incorrect non-sense? "It served its purpose." When a baby takes a dump in its pants, does that "serve a purpose," or is it just plain wrong?

Many religions change their view as the years go by. My wife's former religion(Church of God) wouldn't allow the women to wear shorts, pants, makeup, jewelry, go to movies and some other things I can't remember. Today they do all those things without any problem with the church.

They beleive the holy spirit comes into them, I asked my sister-in-law why the spirit changed it's thinking. She wondered why too. She is beginning to question religion too.
