that from the very begining, the Society starts its indoctrination and seperating you from your regular life and family from day one.

I remember how newly interested ones were strongly encouraged to profess to their churches leaders and others that they no longer are members, to point of having their names removed from memberships. Also the warnings that we may receive heckling from friends and relatives if we continued to study, and how we should come to expect that as being normal.

All this seemingly within the first 3 chapters of the " Truth Book ".

Just like that, there goes another revelation,...why we affectionately refered to being in the organization as " The Truth "

Strange what we choose to remember.

Stranger still what we choose to forget.

So true, prophecor - one of many tactics of isolation and control.

I remember the first time I heard a C.O.'s wife teaching us in a meeting for service about D.I.T.T.O. - "Direct Interest to the Organization."

At the time, I thought it was oddly interesting; now I see it as a subtle way of redirecting worship from God to an organization.

A bikie gang was looking for recruits - they told the potential recruit, "Your family isn't cool - and you'll be able to tell because they won't like you joining our gang" - the family didn't like the recruit joining the gang, and straight away the recruit 'knew' that they weren't cool.

It's a straight up case of who you believe, and includes the influence of already preconceived notions and desires. He already suspected that they 'weren't cool' and that 'he was'.

Very true. It's like the Society sets people up for ridicule and while all along saying "you're going to be persucuted." So it reinforces what they say when it happens.

I grew up in it and my take was that they always made people on the outside (DFd, DAd, fades, or people that knew the "truth" but didn't join JWs) seem like they were wandering alone in the world and that if you knew what was good for you, you wouldn't question anything....because afterall, who wants to wander alone in the world?

This was a good observation. We just finished up the Holiday season and that is a prime time for the WTS to alienate recruits from their families. The WTS need to get people away from their families in order to gain full control over them. Everthing about the WTS is about control, their control of you...for God of course! Theirs is a petty, selfish and hateful god!

You should empty out your bank account & send me all of the money. Make the check payable to Dan-O. And your wife won't like it at all. She will probably oppose your actions. Therefore, you will know that I speak Da Troof & that it is the right thing to do.

NO!!! Dan-O is an evil apostate seeking to mislead others. I, MungoBaobab, have The Truth. Do not send your money to him, send it to the one you know has The Truth. Remember, "God loves a cheerful giver!"
