BBC news reported today that Islamic clerics in Indonesia proclaimed that Allah had sent tsunami, just as he did the flood in Noahs' day as punishment for peoples wicked deeds...
Sad how religion always rears its ugly head and tries to use a natural disaster to strike even more fear and guilt into peoples minds and hearts, when what they really need right now is compassion and comfort.

I had a born again christian lady tell me that this was no 'natural disaster' and that this was a sign of the last days. God was warning us all.

When you read stuff like this, I can't help thinking that the old communistic way of thinking "no religions allowed" was'nt so strange at all. People have to be saved from their selves.
It is only the lack of freedom in this thinking that is bothering me.
Well Muslims truly belive that nothing can happen unless Allah wills it - or to put it another way - if it happened it must be the will of Allah
