I have a friend I worked with who was from Indonesia. I was close to him. He'd been to a few parties at my home. Now, I haven't heard from him, and I'm very worried that he might have been there visiting his family. He often made trips there to buy things for his import business.

I hope he and his family are ok...

Yes, the photos above look like a bomb was dropped on these places instead of water. I still can't fathom all the destruction.
