Gina would like to put her watchtower research stuff on a web page, but she wants to do it herself and doesn't know HTML. What freeware web page builders have you used that you thought were worth bothering with?

If I can't find a free one, I'll need to buy one, so if you really like a paid product, please mention it.

I was about to Google this, but I wanted to know if you've already had success with something before I start the process of digging through all the crappy stuff to find the one or two gems.

    Thanks!

I've not done any real web-page building, but when I travel nowadays, I save a copy of my itinerary/notes/phone/addys etc from a word document into an html document, and load it to my tripod account so I can access anywhere I can get on the web. That won't give you links and such (though I'm sure you can do links etc. in Word too, if you know how), but it will get you on the web quickly and w/o having to know anything special.

Netscape Composer is an easy tool to use, especially for beginners. The newest version of Netscape Composer is integrated into the browser, which can be found by clicking on Window then Composer.

Not free but at $49.00 not bad value. You can try this very easy to use software - has 30 day trail download.

Most WYSIWYG editors will knock out decent enough HTML for a project.

The hard part is managing things so any system that automates this is good. Things like SharePoint Team Services that you get with some hosting can help.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I have used virtual mechanics stuff before, it was a bit complicated (a few years ago) but it did work and did a good job of creating code that would run under any browser. It also didn't create the crap code that Frontpage and MS-Office products create. Of course, Gina won't care about how crappy the code is so long as it looks right.

    Thanks again!

    Dave
