I don't mind sequels but the "reboots" are getting a little ridiculous. It is one thing to remake a 40+ year old B&W movie but when you are simply remaking movies from what seems like just 5 years ago I think it shows that hollywood is getting lazy and running out of ideas.

Having said that, they can't make too many super-hero movies 'cause they are usually so good !!

Marvel that is ... I'm getting tired of seeing how Superman became Superman over and over and over.

I'm really looking forward to Avengers 2...more than any movie I've been looking forward to in a long time. I hope for unending sequals.

I was skeptical of Fantastic Four until seeing the teaser...I will give it the benefit of the doubt.

And, of course, the trailer for Star Wars looked great...I'm looking foward to seeing it.

    Long live the sequel!

I should add...maybe all this is a sign of the last days.

A interesting plot with an engaging script will always be popular in any movie produced, unfortunately this rarely happens in sequels.

They are mostly put together for financial reasons and weigh the alluring attraction based from the original movie of which they're based upon.

A prequel now and again can prove interesting, however remakes/reboots generally leave me cold. What happened to imagination, new Ideas, originality etc.etc.

When hundreds of millions of production dollars are on the line, the tendency to "stick with what works" is very tempting.

Not to mention that at this point, a strong argument could be made that it would be financially irresponsible for a studio like WB to not make another Batman movie (just as one example).
