I would like to put a picture next to my name, like you all have. i have to put in a URL. what is that? can anyone give me instructions in a really really easy way, pretty pls

A url (earl) uniform resource locator = http://www.whatever.com/picture.jpg,gif,bmp or what ever. You would use a url only if the pic you want to use is on the web.
The other choice is Upload a picture from my computer. You would use this one if the pic you want to use is on your computer. Click browse and navigate folders on your computer til you get to the pic

A URL is an internet address for a picture. For instance, the following picture:
is located here:
http://img163.exs.cx/img163/6551/cahootsmall033td.jpg
To place a picture on the web that is on your computer, you can go to the following site: http://www.imageshack.us/
Or you can click the option "Upload a picture from my computer" which is probably easier.

Also dont worry about the size too much, the board will resize the pic to fit.
