Just got home from watching "Constantine". It was OK. A bit long and Keanu was very "Keanu". I think he's like Arnold Schwarzenegger and only plays one type of role.
Nice fiction. Nice effects. Kinda lame presentation.

I caught the afternoon showing today. I was a bit surprised to see that it was a little less serious than the previews led me to believe. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. It wasn't super scary like I thought it would be according to the previews. It was very watchable. Keanu was a good fit for the character. If some folks are weary to go see it because of the demonic images -- I say it's not that bad. There are quite a few comical references in it too. If you are one of those type of people that do not like horror movies, this isn't one of them. Fictional movie making at its best.
I also thought that the "spear" should have played a larger part in the movie. I thought that the Mexican would have a huge part in the movie...you got that impression from the first 5 minutes of the film.
I thought it sucked, overall. The storyline was practically non-existent/irrelevant. It was not scary at all. Even worse, it didn't have any good devil/demoen references. I was hoping that the exorcism sequences would be scary at least. I was so looking forward to this movie too. That's what I find about almost every horror film though. I'm jaded.
From the mind of my 18 year old.
He thought it was "so wicked awesome"! lol
Maybe it was written for that 15-20 age bracket?
