I knew a brother who committed suicide because he wanted to be reinstated and the elders didn't want.

I'm not sure which is worse, wanting to kill yourself BECAUSE you're a witness, or wanting to kill yourself because you WANT to be a witness!

Well don't you think this quilifies as "swallowed by sadness" or whatever that scripture says about needing to show mercy????
I think he should have blowen them up THEN ask to be reinstated... Don't bother flaming me I ain't sorry!
