I am wondering if any posters out there know what do JW's believe about the UN now. Do they believe that it is the beast of Rev and the disgusting thing mentioned in Daniel or do they feel that it is just another organization with faults and errors but can be used in a nice way by JW's? When I told my mom about the UN scandal she said she had heard about it and the elders told her the library card excuse. She said that since we are in the last days Satan will make an all out attack on JW's and some will fall away and slip up even JW's leaders so she said Jehovah will cleanse his org of corruption in due time just like he did with the isarelites that fell and worshipped the golden calf. She mentioned the scriptures about the weeds growing along side the wheat in Jesus' parable and said that JW's will have corrupt JW's alongside of them until Jesus comes back to cleanse the cong of God.
Just what do JW's now believe about the "UN"? Do they believe its the beast

Then we cant trust them for spiritual food at the right time.

Actually the weeds are applied only to Christendom not current apostates and god did clean the org in 1918/19 according to half of the prophecy in the bible. :)
My wife says the same thing, "maybe there are apostates in brooklyn, they've been there before. Remember Franz's nephew?"
My answer is then there have always and still are apostates in brooklyn.

They now try to be ambiguous on this rediculous interpretation. In the Daniel book, it said "the member nations of the United Nations."

I agree, this is an area they have been very vague about over the past few years. Very strange one would think for a religion blessed with "increasing light" from God.
At one time they were very clear (dogmatic) about what they taught/believed but nowadays I bet most elders would struggle to give an answer on this.
