With all the scandal about the UN do you feel that the GB will have to print a "new" and updated book on Rev to disregard the UN being the beast of Rev so the new JW's coming in won't even be aware that for over 100 years the JW's taught that the UN was a disgusting beast and part of Satan's organization?
Do you think that JW's will publish an updated Rev book to downplay the UN

Not with the arrogance they have! They were still teaching that 1914 was the start of the end until what, 1926?
They know that the R and F pays no attention - and they have most convinced that all of that is the work of 'evil opposers' - they turn themselves into a victim here. Nothing will change - especially as long as the UN is so prominent in the news. Now if the UN begins to dissolve - then how do you explain...
'the beast that was, but is not, but is about to appear' .... they will have to rewrite the NWT again!!!!

Well, as we have all seen, they certainly have changed magazines and books in the past. Heck, they have even changed the bible. So, in time, I think, yes, by all means they will update whatever book they need to in order not to look so stupid.

If they did an about face on the UN interpretation they risk a lot. I think they will keep things the way they are for many more years but avoid writting about the UN durring that time and then change the understanding when it won't in the minds of the friends as prominately.

Probably not until they come up with a new identity for the King of the North otherwise they will do what they plan on, restudying the Daniel Prophecy book.
The Revelation Climax book was published in 1988 but they will continue to quote for selected areas for support on their speculations about Revelation.
It is amazing that in other WT publications, where they discuss the book of Revelation, they quote another WT publication to support their conclusions.

How true, Blondie. I have been doing some extensive study on the UN and have found several articles like that. Often they go way back to the 30's and 40's Watchtowers to support the conclusion that the LoN and the the UN was pictured by the Rev prophecies. Amazing example of circular thinking. Ue your own theories to support your own theories.

No doubt that they'll do just that. Soon.
