Okay, I can think of many more Canadian bands that rock more than the Tragically Hip. These guys suck. Their music sucks. Their singer sucks. Are Canadians this dumb or just tone deaf? Or do they just fall for over-promotion of bad music?

I couldn't find a website that lists the Canadian Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductees, but I'd rather see any of these inducted instead of the Tragically Crap:

    Prism
    Headpins
    Helix
    Streetheart
    Harlequin
    Kick Axe
    Honeymoon Suite
    Doug & The Slugs

I'm only guessing the following is already in there:

    Kim Mitchell
Bryan Adams (yes, even he is more deserving)
    Rush
    April Wine

Sorry if I offended anyone. I just needed to rant.

Give em a break man.. yeah I agree they are overly hyped but they have had some terrific albums. "Day for Night" was musical fusion man! The new cd is quite good too.

Thanks Talesin. I figured The Guess Who and Rush would be in there. But really, no Kim Mitchell, Bryan Adams or April Wine? They've been around longer than Tragically Hurl and had much better songs.

Although I like the Hip, I wholeheartedly agree on the exclusion of April Wine. But of course, they are a home-town band. It's good to hear someone from 'out west' express the same opinion! I was also a big fan of Doug & the Slugs (RIP Doug Bennett, passed away 3 weeks ago), having seen them many times at the club here. Wassup with them being left out?

Hope you are well, Nos, you old married man, you. ;)

Yeah, I may be old, but I'm losing weight! Don't worry, it's a good thing. I've been on a diet for about a month and I've lost over 10 lbs!

The Hip are an absolutely great rock n' roll band that are not recognized nearly enough in the States.
