I had just started up the driveway on the way back from the R/C flying field when I saw these two men with ties going up to my front door. My wife let them in before I got out of the car. They were two of the ones I had studied with 40 years ago. I still have feelings of friendship for them. They are good people, I'm so sorry that I got them involved in the JW faith. They came by to invite me to the memorial.
I showed them pictures on my computer of some of the old conventions, some brothers that they knew way back. They seemed to enjoy the visit. There were so many of them dead now that I said that what J.F. Rutherford said way back in the early 1900s about millions now living will never die sure wasn't true. They never said anything, just laughed with me.
I just may go to the memorial just to see how many are still there that I knew. I never had any problems with any one while I was in the congregation, probably because I was the head honcho before I left.
