I thought I would tell everyone that I will be tied up for the next few days with my youngest son's wedding. He is getting married on Saturday, July 21, in a church!! I can handle it though.

Anyway, I will not be around her for a couple of days at least. So busy!!!

Hope everything goes well. We'll miss you! How's the relationship with the daughter-in-law to be going now?

Hi kitty kat.............Actually things are really, really good. I have been working on affirming her comments, and it works. She is tolerable that way. Everyone who wrote gave me such good advice. I loved it!! Experience is the best teacher, and everyone who had had an experience with people like her, really taught me a lot.

Did I tell you I finally found a dress? Man, it was a big search too.
Princess is a bridesmaid, and "little princess" is the flower girl. But, she thinks it's her wedding. She asked who she is marrying, yesterday. All my sons are in it too, so there should be some good photos to share next week. Lots of apostates too. Of course, my Mom isn't coming. Oh well. Didn't really expect her to be there anyway.

    Hey Mulan,

Don't cry too hard about your mom not going sweetie! Remember that we both have those 'special' moms? Well I actually hoped that mine would skip my wedding! No such luck!

She managed to behave herself most of the day but the rest of the trip with her was a nightmare (we had a 'destination wedding', out of state). It would definitely have been easier if she'd skipped it.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Enjoy the day, we'll all be with you in spirit! I hope your son has a long and happy marriage.

    *hugs*

What are you talking about? I always behave. Besides, no one wants to see pictures of me in that dress, the "little princess" is much cuter in hers.

Oh and Esmerelda, believe me, she isn't crying over grandma not coming to the wedding! Mine is the only one she came to (I have two married older brothers) and she started trouble right away.

Yes, Essie, I know what you mean. I always hope she will come, but am really relieved when she doesn't. She is the kind of person who has to be the center of attention, even if it means she gets sick, and someone has to stop everything and take her home. I've seen her faint at conventions, and she told me she fainted during the receiving line at a wedding at the KH two years ago. She was in line to see the bride......the poor thing. And she makes a scene in too many restaurants, and started to make trouble at my daughter's wedding too. (Princess) She came over to me, at the reception, with a complaint, about being slighted in some way, and I said with a big smile, but with venom in my tone, "Don't start. Don't even think about it. Not today!!" She stalked off and behaved herself. But didn't go to my other son's weddings after that. I guess she learned she isn't the star at a wedding, and she learned a LONG time ago, that she can't control my actions, only my emotions. And she pushes my buttons every chance she gets.

I fully expect her to call tomorrow with some emergency!! Thank God for Caller ID. It has saved me so many times.
