What's a Borg? I keep seeing that word and have never heard it before

I've always thought of the "Borg" as a Star Trek reference (the "Borg" is a collective in which no member is an individual; they take on the personalities, thoughts, and ideals of the "collective.").

To me, the Watchtower Organization has similar setup; no personal feelings about anything; your conscience is directed by "the Borg."

Of the Genus “Borgus Cerebellaminimus” Any of the human species that abandons good sense and independent logical thought process to join a colective hive of automorons.

The Borg are also a fictional cybernetic (part biological, part robotic) people from the Star Trek series. They belong to a collective and have no individual personality, but instead are connected to all other Borg. They are organized in a top down hierarchecal structure with ultimate authority residing in the Queen. There are various ranks -- drones, etc.

The use of this term also reflects some people's view that the WT organization is similar in structure to the Borg and that members lack individuality, much like the Borg.
