    Barbarian Productions:

Does anyone have any information on how the Watchtower is associated with Barbarian Productions?

Here is the main page for Barbarian Productions, (Keep a keen eye on the names in the threads:)

    http://www.barbaria.com/

Now here is a download of all of the companies associated with Barbarian Productions. Look at the name in the thread: (Scroll almost to the very bottom, and look for companies that start with the letter (W).

Voyager - there is the listing from the investors page - Looks like Max Larson is the contact. Isn't he a dead GB member? Just wondering.

I don't see anything sinister here on the surface - looks like they have invested some of my contributions over the past 4 decades here. LOL

Keep us informed if u uncover anything -

Actually, Max is alive, not a GB member, and is listed as the President of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. on the inside page of the Watchtower. He is one of the "helpers" of the GB.

    Nothing sinister maybe...

    But...

Why does the WTS need to invest money in "worldly" institutions? Why put money into a company that will be destroyed soon? Shouldn't all the money that the hard working followers donate be used to support the kingdom work and help further the "good news"?

Why is the WTS investing money into a company that makes "R" rated movies? They continually warn their followers of the pitfalls of watching these type movies but then turn around and invest into companies that make them.

    Sinister? No. But definitely hypocritical.

1 important thing to realize about this is the type of company they've apparently invested in. They produce movies....there is a PG-13 sci-fi horror flick mentioned on that site. Strange choice of investments, no?

Another curious thing about these investments...stocks are more of a long-term investment, no? If they just wanted to secure their assets until Armageddon came, and it's coming at any moment, they would just put the cash in the bank....wouldn't they? Why buy stock?

Ok, thanks everybody for the assistance. Yes it does seem a bit hypocritical doesn't it. I'll keep checking to see what else I can find.

    Thanks again!
