Why does e-watchman HATE Ray Franz so?

  I posted this on the other watchman thread.

  You know what is sooooooooooo funny?

  e watchman hates, absolutely hates Ray Franz. Because ...............................

  wait for it.............................................................................................

  Ray Franz is an apostate.

  In fact when you sign up you must promise not to say anything nice about Ray or watchman will kick

  you off his loyal little board.

  Now I have been thinking about this. Does anyone have any idea why watchman Hates Ray Franz so?

  For the same reason the People's Front of Judea hates the Judean People's Front.

  Seriously, to the extent one can assign some reason to the actions of a delusional schizophrenic, I would say that it's his way of trying to prove that he is not like the other 'apostates', that he has staked out a middle ground and is thus deserving of special respect.

  Don't even know who e-watchman is myself - can't remember visiting that site often.

  But if one has left the organization of Jehovah's witnesses I cannot imagine why hatred of Raymond Franz would logically follow. Ray, along with Penton, Frye, Jonnson, et al, have done more to reveal the deep dark cistern called the Watchtower society to the light of reality than anyone else. The efforts that these men have put forth to do so has freed hundreds of thousands from the religious bondage to that organization. To hate that is illogical, especially for one who is apparently interested in the same message regarding cultish religion.

  Perhaps this guy just needs someone to hate for the sake of it! Or to elevate himself somehow.

  E-watchman feels that Ray Franz turned a lot of people away from the WT without offering them anything better in return. He feels he is offering something is bringing out the failings of the WT in terms of biblical perspective. E-Watchman is trying to reform the religion he still sees as truth.

  It's ironic that e-watchman is being vocal about WT issues and criticizing Franz simultaneously. Obviously he hasn't read either of his books.

  I found the e-watchman board to be pretty lame anyways.

  Good answer, confused. Also e-watchman is seriously delusional. Maybe a bit jealous, OR upset that Ray hasn't done MORE other than write his books and return letters and live as quiet a life as he can.

  Unfortunately Ray has made very, very little money. Who has heard of $18 for a 400 page book.
