Theospeak is the language of dubs.

From pioneer to ministerial servant, from hours to service years, from magazines to books

witness publications are full of loaded langauge and that special tongue called "Theospeak"

    Is he in the truth?

The faithful and discreet slave class

    The Jonadab class

    Wholesome association

    Jehovah's loving provision

and the best one - Witnesses of Jehovah

so, how long was it before you mastered this language? Did you use it often? Did you use it with non-witnesses?

I don't remember how long it took me to master it. I do know I stopped using it within 6 months since the leaving mentally/emotionally the WTBTS.

I don't remember the last time I used the term 'The Truth', and other popular ones among the JW crowd.

And I was really enjoying my first Easter celebration in 16 years until you brought up all those painful memories. My psychotherapist is out of town until Monday. Now, thanks to you, I've got to deal with the BS theospeaking JW's running around in my head.

I was one who picked it up fast, and dropped it equally as fast.I just never could get into the new lingo of Christain witnesses of Jehovah or the taken the vow of poverty, The Jonadab class embrassed me,Wholesome association, Jehovah's loving provision, and the best one - Witnesses of Jehovah these always seemed phoney terminology to me, and I was an elder to boot. I guess you could say I was too common for the elitiss.

Someone used to have on the net a Dictionary of Theospeak! It was in a nice PDF file also. It appears to have been taken down. --VM44

I was probably speaking "theospeak" before I could wipe my own butt! I still catch myself using it every now and then. I think it must be harder to shake if it was your "first language".

They refer to people who have English as a second language as learning ESOL (English as a Second Oral Language). I think it only appropriate to refer to folks like you who learmed Theocratese later in life as having TSOL!

By the way, I think this might be website someone was referring to:
