Lots of people find JW's annoying....

  I was just surfing the web, and ran across this site. I thought it was the funniest thing. Hope it gives Y'all a good chuckle...

  If you go to the 50 most annoying of 2001, you will see that the JW's rank #12, right in between the IRS and Adolph Hitler!!!

  You can also do a search of Charles Taze Russell at the site-seems a lot of people find him annoying too...

  Why they might be annoying

  They refuse blood transfusions, preferring death over it.
  Many children used to die needlessly because of the parents' refusal of transfusions for them. Doctors now have authority to overrule parents who make these decisions.
  They like to preach gospel by knocking on non-believers' doors at the crack of dawn.
  They predict a date that Christ will return to Earth and have not been right yet.
  They have used excuses that Christ did come but it was an invisible coming or that the dates were not calculated correctly.
  They are a cult.
  Their headquarters is in Brooklyn, New York (what cockamamie religion would be headquartered in Brooklyn?).
  They tattle on each other.
  Like most religions, they interpret scripture for their own means.
  They call their church, Kingdom Hall.

  Why they might not be annoying

  They don't smoke or excessively drink alcohol.
  They don't pierce themselves or tattoo their bodies.
  There is no paid pastor during congregations.
  They don't believe in exorcisms, faith healings or supernatural visions.

  That is kind of funny...yet I disagree with some of the reasons why they might NOT be annoying...after all I grew up thinking demons could get to me by watching He-Man. Also I knew many a Witness that drank till they couldn't stand. Sure the WTS might be against drunkeness but what religion isn't?

  Well, I find that to be pretty damn annoying. How can you really trust and accept folks who don't get lit, OC?

  I think that's why people "persecuted" the JWs. Would you want a person with a speaker car blasting stuff against your religion? Now they just do that by annoying people individually.
