Did you teach your Bible study "half-truths", knowing that once the Bible student was baptized, they would be taught a different "truth" once they were indoctrinated into the W.T.?

    Such as...shunning practices?

    blood issue?

lying to worldly people, etc., etc.?

Can you give some examples? Thanks.

The main one that comes to my mind is the love amongst ourselves, I & my family had been so hurt by so called friends. and the worse for us or maybe one of the first was at a convention in Tucson, Az. and a couple from Bethel, NY. were there, the wife sat beside us. she was awful. rude comments if the kids moved around. I had left my then 3 year old and 11 year old daughter sitting at our seats and walked down to greet friends, I could see the kids and was close enough to speak to them. One of them had accidently sat in her seat and she was jumping onto them when I went up to see if I could help, she reminded me rudely "had I not read the KM about leaving kids, unattended." at first I tried to explain but I stopped she knew full well. I was near them. Then she gave me a "you are so pathetic look" and told me she was there from Bethel and her husband was giving the next talk. Like I should be impressed, When I talked to an ( much loved )elder in our congregation about it, he of course excused it as different area's have different personalities. . I thought love was just that! love.

Then same convention. I had my hands full one morning trying to watch the youngest and help him get a juice bottle open for a drink. I sat some things I had in my hands down on a table, a servent < I say that bitterly) came over and told me we were not to set anything down on the tables. Sheeze, instead of helping. lack of love or even kindness was prevailent. And I understand following what your told to do. it was just the attitude of acting like they had power and wanting to control. It was just unreasonable.

So everytime I talked to a study about "love" it got more and more difficult to tell them it was true.

not me personally, but i wish, for all the ones baptized that are between the ages of 8-17, that they could see into the future and realize that, even if baptism isn't a choice they would regret, they are too young to make such a committing decision... parents should appreciate that as well instead of pressuring them to do so. i think anyone baptized under the age of 18 should be able to have it annulled if they wish. im sure the GB does not agree with that...
