I knew one girl who was kicked out for getting pregnant and moving in with her worldly boyfriend. Eventually they broke up and she came back as a begging and pleading single mother.
I was in a similar situation with my own girlfriend. Fortunatly she was a pennicostal and not a JW. Today she's my wife. -

My youngest daughter came back three times (YES THREE TIMES) to find a husband. Hopefully number three will work out OK and she will stick. I?m wishing this for her own good and not because she is back in the WTS.

2nd oldest sister never baptized, married young to a baptist man. Did chrsitmas and the whole 9 yards, to my parents dismay. She went back in her 50's and got baptized, etc. I have no idea why. She said she'd lived worldly for 30+ years, but felt that JW's truly had the Truth(tm). She died in her 60's of lymphoma. She had gone back before becoming ill. So that wasn't the motive.
Me? No effing way. I'm not about to submit myself to the elders for all of my "sins". None of their business. AND I'm not going to marry Kevan because taxwise we're better off not married.

There was a girl in one of the congregations we attended for about five years when I was growing up who was so "BAD" . She was never baptized and was well known for flaunting authority. It was even rumored she smoked.... oh horror of horrors! All the "good" girls in the congregation steered well clear of her, since she was such "bad association". I was the leader of a pack of good girls, being the elders daughter of the group and she was the leader of all the others. I was such a brown-noser it's sickening to think about. We hated eachother with a passion. The whole situation was right out of "The Outsiders". The preppy do-gooders and the baddies.
We moved from that congregation to another and four years later I left home and the Witnesses. Two years after that I went to visit my Grandma and attended a meeting with her. I about fell out of my chair when my Grandma pointed out this girl- (now a woman), and told me she was a Pioneer and married to an Elder. At that point I was a runaway who turned her back on the JWs and married an unbeliever. I still laugh to think about it.
I still think I got the better end of the deal!

My father went back after many years. Spent his last years a staunch Witnesses, I was so so with it. Changed our relationship.

It's easy to see a person that has NEVER known the organisation to be bogus "going back". It's NOT easy to see a person going back...........once they have fully come to know of the organisations workings and have learned of it's errors.

Interesting stories here and i goes to show that you never know if someone will run back to org. I can't imagine being married to someone or having a close family members that swears they are no longer controled by the org only to have them return. If ( and that is a big if ) my jw husband would one day tell me he has seen the WT for what it really is ,i would still have to live each day wondering if he would return to the same vomit he left.
Really quit sad in knowing that it may truly never be over.
