OK, I had a discussion with an old fella and his wife today. They offered me a couple of bottles of whiskey. Of course, Insomniac doesn't drink, she's as pure as the driven snow in that regard (trying to keep a straight face as I type this!). But, we're not sure how to correctly pronounce the following: Laphroaig (sp?) and Glenfiddich. The first one, I have no clue; the second one is more straightforward, but is the ch pronounced "ch" like in itch, or more of a "k" sound? Thanks for your assistance.

From a Scotsman who introduced me to both, they're pronounced like:
Luh-froyg' -- kind of like "belong" might be pronounced buh-long', and "froy" like "boy".
Glen-fid'-ditch -- with obvious pronunciations of the syllables.
The accent mark ' shows the accented syllable.

And this is how they pronounce Aluminum: Al-you-min-ni-um (at least, the guy on BBC World does).
