Special Pioneer Aunt in Hospital

I just got back from SC and had a message on my answering machine about my aunt being in the hospital. The JW that called said she asked to see me. I went by to see my aunt and she told me I was her favorite nephew and she really seemed to appreciate my visit. She apologized for being so strong in trying to get me back to the org. She is 87 and I don't think she is going to make it back home. The doc thinks she has a massive cancer in her stomach and has lost a lot of blood. She is the last one of my dad's bros and sisters. Her daughter is in Florida and her husband was put in the hospital today for a heart problem so she can't come home to see her yet.

It kind of got to me to see her so sick and the way she expressed her love for me, she held my hands and ask me to sit on the bed beside her. I'm really sad.

Hi Ken, it must have been so heartwarming to see someone you care about, and who obviously cares about you, realise that in the end only kindness matters. She sounds like a special person, with a kind soul. It is important that we can be with our loved ones at times like these. All the best, and please keep us updated on how she is. luv froglett

Sounds like your aunt wants to make things right with you in case she doesn't make it. I hope she gets better, she sounds like a nice person.
