I recently saw OLDBOY and MILLIONS. Both movies will be high up there once the year ends. I had problems with both movies. OLDBOY came across as somewhat too tragic and nihistic for me in various sposts, and I thought MILLIONS' message seemed a bit too heavey handed. Regardless....both movies have enough style, spectacular acting, and a striking sense of uniqueness that both films impressed me more than most of the stuff I've seen all year. So, what's the best movie of the year (up till now) for you?

I tried to see "Oldboy" last weekend, but it was already gone from the theater. I'm definitely going to rent it though.

One of my favorites so far this year was "The Ballad of Jack and Rose," but then I'm of the firm opinion that Daniel Day-Lewis can do no wrong.

You're going to hate me Preston, but Revenge of the Sith is the best.

I know... shocking considering how bad the other two prequels were. But it is.

    Crash is a close second.

I saw Kung Fu Hustle last night, and Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy on its opening night.

Both are AWESOME...but as much as I loved Hitch Hiker...Kung Fu Hustle was even better. My fav character is the fat landlady with the cigarette and Lion's Roar...she is the bomb. Such a bitch like I can be hahah.

I was very impressed with Crash. The performances were amazing and it was very touching without being overly sentimental. It was honest about prejudice without getting too ugly.

I saw Ballad of Jack and Rose and liked it very much. The ending was a little heavy-handed but Daniel Day Lewis was great and the teens in the movie were terrifically real.

Took my kids to see Millions. It was fun but It wasn't as great as the reviews said. Still, a good story and certainly a better kids movie than most.
