It's not that I didn't think it was everywhere, but the WTS claims to be the only channel on earth to God and to be better at showing Christlike qualities than any other group. My family's experience and the experience of other JWs over the years in this area, has convinced me that the WTS is no better than the groups they claim are going to be destroyed utterly by God in the near future.

"The former pastor told deputies he had been having sex with children for many years and "also educated the children as to how to perform sexual acts with each other and with animals," Carpenter said."

All but one of the defendants in the case are jailed without bond. They are charged with aggravated rape of a child under 13 -- a charge which, if convicted, can carry a death sentence in Louisiana, authorities said.
DEATH PENALTY! Ok, who votes yes?

By the nature of their pathology, sex crime perps are attracted to employment and social situations in which they are afforded opportunities to perpetrate. Pedophiles are therefore attracted to organizations such as churches, schools, Boy Scouts, etc.
The difference with the JWs is that the structure and practices of it facilitate abuse to happen and facilitate reperpetration by its inaction and cover ups. Other organizations have done that too, but have taken steps to change such practices.

Wow. I was not aware any states allowed the death penalty for sex crimes, but hooray! I have always felt that way.
