Back in the early 1980's the Countryside congregation in Middletown Ohio was deleted. The whole congregation!! The rumors were abundant then and everyone was whispering about it. The rumors ran everywhere from Apostasy to wife swapping, but no one really knew, and the elders were all hush hush about it. This congregation was 20 miles south of where I went.
Does anyone here know the real reason why that whole congregation was deleted??

I don't know about that one, but in the 70's in PA there was at least half a cong that split off to follow one brother. It seems that this bro, a co and super pioneer, took over all the teaching to the exclusion of wt publications. He gave the talk every Sunday, conducted the wt study, and made up the rules. A couple of people got into real trouble by going outside the cong for help and weredeemed trouble makers and liars. Finally, someone listened and a committee of brothers was sent. A big chunk of the cong was loyal to this brother and after that began meeting in his home for the meetings.
I'd like to know more about the one you've mentioned.
