I do directory assistance for several areas of the united states including patterson new york. The other day I had a woman phone and initially asked for the number to the kingdom hall and then corrected herself and said the watchtower bible and tract society. I found her listing and closed the call in about 15 seconds but it left me shaken up for the rest of the day. I got the same heart pounding ready to puke reaction I used to get when they would say please rise for the singing of the national anthem..

I never would have thought anything so stupid would shake me up so badly. Anyone else had similar reactions?

I got the really nervous, sick to my stomach feeling when my "mother" unexpectedly rang me on 9/11 to try to frighten me into going back to the KH. After I hung up, I was literally physically ill.

Give them the WHY 1914 hotline number next time.

Similar feelings - a mixture of rage, disgust, shock - occurred when my dad informed me that he had become aware of an announcement that my husband had disassociated himself (there was no letter, no request on his part to do such a thing) and followed it with "unfortunately that means he is no longer welcome in my home, but you and the children can still visit any time."

Suddenly I envied my cat's ability to lick her own @$$ to get the bad taste out of her mouth.

Wow that reminded me of all the fuss every time someone from the UN says they are working toward peace and security in the middle east.
