What's with the 1881, Russell, Watchtower, FDS thing they have in it?

Is this some extra crazy dub chronology or has the world gone totally gaga?

My mother reads those Bible code books. I think she said it comes next year, perhaps 2013 &2014 are fall backs. She hant got the S.D. Adventism out of her system after all these years.

I think they do wordsearches in the Bible, with a few tricks with translations from Hebrew etc. Seem to remember her showing me a diagonal line on page 1241 that says something like twin towers. I found something similar in a telephone directory I was browsing ysterday. I love my mother so much.

on that thought there was some "new light" -to introduce a new time factor as 2014 approaches (100 years since 1914) This was introducted subtly in the December 15 Watchtower 2003 drawing a parallel btn Noahs' Day and the big "A" day. In a round about way it's pointing to 2033

People are really keen to see the end of this world and the coming of a new much better one and the JWs since the days of Russell have been expert at manipulating this eagerness to their own ends.

The problem is that when people are in the grip of intense emotion the critical faculty (blinded by their sentiments) does not function as it should and they can easily be taken out on a very very long ride. That's why the WTS feels that it can continue setting dates despite its abysmal past record of total failure in this field. They know how to play with people's hearts, that's how shameless they are.
