    Friends,

The new Watchtower of July 15 '05..has on its cover "How can you find inner peace?" Let's see.....Acoording to the article one can avail themself of this inner peace by believing and trusting in Gods' promises, which promises are revealed by His "Faithful Slave". Here are aspects of inner peace that the witnesses truly offer.

--The inner peace of knowing that you have to go to 5 freaking meetings a week, have a family "bible" study. Do personal study. Go knock on strangers doors and try to get them to buy books and magazines at LEAST once a week.

--Let us not forget the "inner peace" of knowing that if you disagree with the individuals who decide by a 2/3rds majority, the policies that you are required to live by, you can lose your family and "friends".

--Nothing spells "inner peace" for me more than to know that I have to base my entire life, and what I do with it, on an organization that has NEVER gotten anything right....except to say that; "thing's have gotten worse these days....see...we said that over 100 years ago" (and even that statement is debatable).

That IS NOT inner peace.....Inner peace is getting out of this mind control organization while you have a chance...and listening to people like JAMES THOMAS...(a poster on this board), People who don't ask you for any money, or time, or worship.

My vent for the day...thanks for listening,

    Love,

    Integ.

I like what someone posted in another thread a few days ago. When the "things have gotten so much worse" statement is made, respond with your own question as to exactly when would the person prefer to be living?

The Middle Ages? During the time of the Spanish Inquisition, Infuenza Plague, Crusades, rudimentary medical procedures? Before electricity and indoor plumbing? WHEN?!

I would be curious to hear just when this person who thinks things are so bad would prefer to live. Of course, depending on when they would pick, if they were above the age of 40 or so years old they'd not even have lived (probably) this long...

I found inner peace by deprogramming myself from the Watchtower BS, and reading the Bible by itself to find the true meaning of the scriptures.

If you can block out reality and continue in the JW mindset, there is a certain amount of inner peace. You don't have to be responsible for anything except immediate/short term needs. You don't have to plan for the future, have no need to worry about who to vote for, about war or world politics, pollution, gun control, disease or starvation because it's all out of "our" hands....soon Jehovah will wave his magic wand and cleanse the earth of all defilement. It's a nice fantasy, no? The key is staying blind, deaf and dumb to real truth so that all you can see is the pretty fairy tale that the WTS spins.

Of course, real inner peace comes when you realize that there is a reason you had trouble living the JW life...it was all a lie.
