Where did they get the blanket idea about shunning spiritism ?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    • and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Eli'jah
    • and if you are willing to accept it, he is Eli'jah who is to come
    • ---------------------------------------------------------------------

And don't they say that their purpose and work is "channeling" ?

Then they claim to mysteriously receive direction from angels?

it's all spiritistic. they say they are not prophets, and yet they say they are spirit appointed and directed. well, whats the dif? god still had to send his holy spirit down to earth, find one of the GB members, and mess around with his synapses to get him to think something. that is interaction with a spirit creature, ergo spiritism of sorts.

even at the kingdumb hall. why pray for blessing on the speaker? the spirit still has to interface from the "spiritual realm" into our physical one and fire the sunday speakers synapses in a certain way so he doesn't make a fool of himself.

oh wait, he's making a fool of himself anyways.

    Greetings All:

Don't you have to first define what "spiritism" is? It has always been my understanding that spiritism is the alleged speaking with the dearly (or not so dearly) departed--those who have died. Check your dictionaries. (I will too.) Communicating with "other" spirit beings (like angels--good or bad--or Jesus, or Jah) is not spiritism. 1 John 4:1 states:

"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God. . . ."

Doesn't this statement pre-suppose that communicating with spirit beings (other than the departed) regardless of whether they are good or bad is going to happen thus our need to "test" them?

    Anyway, just my two cents.
