I was talking to a good friend of mine that is an ex-jw and we were having coffee the other day when he told me of one of his good friends that killed himself because the elders publicly "reproved" him. I felt so bad when my friend told me of this horrible story but he said there are many cases of JW's committing sucide before they are DF'd or DA'd or Publicly Reproved. Did you know of any JW's that killed themselves before or after being kicked out of the WT?

Oh, lots of people, and there have been several threads about that over the years. My dad was one: an elder for 40 years, anointed, made ONE mistake & got DF'd, groveled for a year and got reinstated but was still treated like dirt, so he blew his brains out in February 2003.

I've known two. Both teenage boys, both 'diciplined' for some trivial thing which ended up getting around the congregation because of blabby elders wives. One hung himself, the other used pills. Both were tragic and the result of poor handling by our 'loving shepards' and their wonderful gossiping wives.

Both were very sweet boys...

I don't know of any who actually died. But I know of several, including myself that attempted. I've tried 3 times. The only reason I didn't die was my daughter came home early. Being a nurse, I knew how to get it done quickly and quietly.

But don't worry, I'll never try that again. Now I've found all my friends here. I'm taking medication, at least MOST of the time. Besides, I"ve found a new calling. It's called being an Apostate! I tell my daughter I'm not doing my job right if I don't piss her off frequently. I'm now applying that to the JW's.

Another person that tried suicide a couple times was molested by an elder. But his WIFE was trying to teach her what he liked and disliked so that when she was gone someone would be there to step right in. Sicko!!!

Here in Northern Jersey last week one died.

He was divorced, and was fading..... But depression made him get terrible headaches, and lost major weight. They found him dead two days too late
