WITH SPRING/SUMMER CLEANING UPON US, AND MANY OF YOU EX-JW'S CARRYING ON IN YOUR FORMER BUSINESS OF CLEANING, I OFFER THE PROPER WAY TO CLEAN GLASS.

YOU WILL NEED ONLY 4 ITEMS. PAPER TOWEL, WINDOW CLEANER (WINDEX ETC.), SINGLE EDGE RAZOR BLADE, AND 4 ZERO STEEL WOOL.

APPLY WINDOW CLEANER, AND WASH WITH 4 ZERO STEEL WOOL WHICH WILL NOT SCRATCH THE GLASS AS IT IS VERY FINE, BUT WILL CUT ANY SCUM. USE PAPER TOWEL TO SOAK UP THE WETNESS. THEN, APPLY WINDOW CLEANER ONCE MORE, AND WIPE WITH PAPER TOWEL AGAIN. PRESTO, CLEAN WINDOW. IF YOU HAVE ANY HEAVY SCUM OR LABELS ON THE GLASS, WET THE GLASS AND USE A SINGLE EDGE RAZOR BLADE TO TAKE IT OFF. MANY PEOPLE SCRATCH GLASS WITH A RAZOR BLADE, BUT IF THE GLASS IS WET IT ACTS AS A LUBRICANT AND HENCE DOES NOT SCRATCH.

I'VE HEARD OF EVERYTHING FROM USING NEWSPAPERS, VINEGAR, ETC.,ETC. BUT THE ABOVE WORKS THE BEST! YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO LOOK OUT OF CLEAN WINDOWS TO SPOT THEM JW'S COMING DOWN THE SIDEWALK SO YOU CAN TAKE COVER.

    ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!

Great tips... I found the news paper is best for drying the glass without leaving streaks.

The absolute best cleaner I have found is Sprayway Glass Cleaner. It comes in a blue and white aerosol can.

    WINDEX AND PAPER TOWELS!

Use a lambs wool tool, dipped in a bucket of warm water with 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap (preferably Joy) scrub window with lambs wool, follow with a squeegee following the wet edge then run a dry linen cloth around the window frame to get anything left by the squeegee. White vinegar will safely remove most hard water spots and you can use this with the 004 steel wool as suggested.

Windex and paper towels is for sissy's!

Thanks for the great suggestions, now I can go back into pioneer service and resume my window washing career, maybe start a magazine route at the same time. Why couldn't the ASleep! have furnished this material?
