More and more I'm convinced that polarization in the human species is a form of evolutionary protective mechanism.
Seems every form of human endeavor is marked by an opposite behavioral mirror.
Either/or seems to insure ONE of the two might be right. (Hence viable.)
Our system of Politics is no exception.
However, ideology cripples one's intellectual capacity as much as it enables focus in acting upon principle.
JW's wallow in the use of FEAR to send publishers scurrying willy-nilly into their Kingdom Hall "ark" of salvation.
Conservative politicians use fear of Liberal lifestyles and the desire to redistribute wealth among those who refuse to earn financial security.
Liberal politicians use fear of Authority and Class Warfare to empower their efforts to get the populace hooked on Government spending programs that will insure the Liberal agenda stays in office feeding the habit.
The vocabulary may differ but the polarity is the same.

There's comfort in black and white, yes and no, ones and zeros.
Ironically it's dehumanising - we respond better to greys, even if we would rather look out on a world that was more stable.
"Humans! Control freaks, all of 'em!!!"

too bad when Cletus calls in to Rush Limbaugh he doesn't realise that.
"Me and the missus were at were at World of Meat getting some 'cue and the waitresses were all slow and surly. Liberals, no doubt. Damn liberals have even infected BBQ joints."
