If the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses had the temporal, political power to do so, would they execute those whom they had adjudged apostate?

Would JWs initiate another great Inquisition? And who would be Tomas de Torquemada?

    What do you think?

I believe a certain brother from the spring valley area of San Diego, he always seemed to me to be of that type. Quick to jump on perceived wrong doers, always wanted his way in field service, didn't like to be opposed, would stab you in the back in a heart beat. I could name a few more. This particular piece was something that should have been kept on a chain. I believe he would relish the inquisition of anyone he thought to be a wrong doer in the org since of the word of course. He and a few others were quick to seize power when the PO was down and out in the Hospital, they had him removed as PO some other lacky installed all this in a spirit of brotherly love of course (jeesh). Look at the atrocities committed in the Balkans and Africa and you see what the combination of fanaticism, power, and blind loyalty can produce in certain people.

Forunately, I see no situation that would allow JW fanatics to exercise such physical violence. Besides, their current worldwide psychological terrorism is almost as effective.

Off subject, but this topic reminded me of something. A few years back, someone had written and posted on the Net a series of stories how life in the "new system" would be under the elder-system. Covert this and covert that... imprisoning... executions, etc. Whatever happened to that series? Haven't seen it in a longtime, and I thought it was GREAT!!! (and very insightful based on current life in the borg.)

The JWs have never stopped to think about what they're saying, viz. how would a perfect world with perfect citizens be administered by an external government. Would it be socialistic, capitalistic, communistic, what? It's an area they've never addressed. This makes it fall into the "It just happens" category.

And what would they do with people who tired of perfection and big brother peering over each shoulder. Can you imagine Christ responding to the types of "glorious ones" we have making that claim in today's society?
