AAARRRRGGGHHHH what can I say? A week of sun and not thinking about anything was heavenly. I thought I'd share a couple of experiences with yas.....
When we left Fresno, I had somehow mixed up our departure time (chalk it up to pregnancy; I've never done THAT before) on American West. They and the good folks at American Airlines accepted our tickets so we could get to Cabo about an hour and a half after originally planned. This was a good thing, because American West has only one flight a day out of Fresno that makes the Cabo Connection....
So anyhow, we stayed at the Los Cabos Golf Resort. We bought a timeshare condo there two years ago, because it sits right on the golf course and my husband is a golf NUT. (If you didn't know, golf in Cabo runs $250 per round; so to own at a Country Club where golf is included is a great bargain!)
Let's see, we went snorkeling at Chileno Bay. Jerry was a total wuss. He claimed the sand/rocks/fins were hurting his feet. (Can anyone say the Princess and the Pea?) I took a couple bags of tortillas, and swam out about 100 feet from shore. As sson as I opened the bag I was swarmed with dorado, lisa, and about three other kinds of fish. I think one was the angel fish, a rather large black thing with bright yellow spots etc. Lovely.
Then there was the night we went on the Sunset Pirate Cruise. This boat was built in the 1850's and it's one of only three authentic pirate boats left. Has been used in many movie sets.
This time, I was a wuss. See, there was a hurricane that passed within about 600 miles of shore, and the water was very choppy. So, the captain left the diesel motor running. Well, sounds and smells make me nauseous. Couple that with a baby turning over and over and you have all the makings of barfing for two hours straight. I said, at least the fish got to eat my spaghetti dinner. EWWWWW
I golfed three times, but I played only 9 holes each time. I get a little bored.
I wasn't able to do any of my favorite activities like parasailing or wave runners or drinking (LOL) so it turned out to be a week of relaxation.
As soon as I have the pics back (I bought one of those cheap waterproof disposable things) I will post some here.
