    Example that I have always thought;

    As a witness we were always admonished to apply Hebrews 10:24,25 about meeting attendance.

    According to witness tradition shouldn't that text read;

    "Do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together - to incite to love guilt and fine works."

    Any others?

    They teach that the little flock is the 144,000 and the other sheep are the Great Crowd, so ...

    John 10:16 And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one two flock, one shepherd.

    The translation of the NWT has thousands of errors - I've only just started to research some of them. Got myself a greek bible / greek dictionary & 3 english versions.

    The witnesses usually substitute THE holy spirit for Gods' spirit or active force.

    There's a scripture that says "God bought us the blood of his own son"" (NWT) yet the greek version says that it should read God bought us with his own blood - there is no son there.

    Another scripture - could be in John. The NWT has translated it that Jesus says you must be in union with each other as I am in union with the father, but the proper version Jesus says you must be one just as the father and I are one. I am in the father and the father is in me.

    These are only 3 off the top of my head. There are many many more - some are so subtle.

    A great book to read is Fast Facts about Jehovahs' Witnesses.

    Believe in becomes exercise faith in, to emphasise a non scriptural works-based salvation.

    Another is know (as in a personal experience or relationship) becomes take in knowledge.

    These are just some of the awful distortions of scipture to make it fit better with their arian, christadelphian, adventist influenced doctrine.

    Psalm 119:105 -- "Your word organization is a lamp to my foot and a light to my roadway."

    John 14:6 -- "Jesus said to him: 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me the Governing Body.'"

    John 17:17 -- "Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word organization is truth."
