The Boggle Threshold.

  Have you ever experienced "The Boggle Threshold", the limit to how far your mind can stretch from your present beliefs? Can you suspend your present beliefs and investigate further evidence on subjects that challenge your mind? Do you say ,"That's Mind Boggling", who can be expected to believe this or that?

  For example: Paul's defense before King Agrippa, when the King and the Governor Festus could not suspend their own beliefs about the dead living again. Festus claimed that Paul was besides himself and that much learning was driving him mad! Paul was boggling their minds.They reached the boggle threshold.

  Also the family of Jesus exclaimed that he was going mad, out of his mind from what they heard him teaching about himself. He boggled their minds. They too reached the boggle threshold.

  Was or is there things that you heard, read, or said on this forum or from the Governing Body or anyone else for that matter, that boggled your mind and caused you to reach "The Boggle Threshold"?

  hey BB,

  after the experience of deconversion and becoming an atheist, i am up for whatever. i welcome the boggle threshold as a place where there is a good possibility of truth. since leaving the wits, i enjoy suspending my belief system to try and understand where others are coming from. it doesn't mean i have to swtich my position every other week either. but it is healthy to stay open to the boggle, and to embrace the boggle, imo.

  Once again I'm with tetrapod...jwit->athiest, you can't much more of a stretch then that! During the transition you learn to be incredibly open minded to new information, possibilities, perhaps a little too skeptical, and take with a grain of salt everything you hear. frog

  After the stuff I have seen grown ass adults do to little children from working with kids in shelters, group home's, etc.....my boggler is busted. Not a damn thing boggles me any more except why when there is clear evidence (I.e video of a man raping his nine mo. old ) why we actually plead him out rather than just take him out and put a bullet in him or make him a slave for life making money for victims. That kinda stuff boggles me. Other than tha, nothin. Not a damn thing.
