Saw it last nite, very intense!
The first part was particularly good, and felt real in the way the characters reacted:The father trying to get his kids out of the area, the kids acting like kids (the older one is slow and uncooperative, the younger one is a spaz and hysterical.) Dad gets pretty frustrated and trying to hold down the panic. And then the not knowing what is going on, not being "in the loop", getting conflicting information, getting in the sights of angry mobs, that was pretty tense.
Plus, the images of people being turned into puffs of ash, the air full ash and bits of clothing, very reminiscent of 9/11.
Overall, really, really good! Better than Independence Day! (Was that really ten years ago?!!!)
