Wouldn't someone who worked at Bethel have some info? I've always thought their stats were total lies. carla

I doubt anyone's going to step up and produce a smoking gun. The statistics are as phony as you think they are. For example: How many times did you go out in FS and drive around, stop for coffee, gossip, find no one home, talk to one person, and count 2 or 3 hours -- when in fact your total field service "face time" was less than 5 minutes?
Now multiply that by 6 million.
There's your answer.

I think the society is scrupulous when it comes to adding up the numbers accurately. However, the source of the numbers is completely full of crap. I reported time for a couple years without ever going out. Most witnesses pad their hours. The cong secretary phones people who have put in no report, so the publisher makes up something to get him off his back.
So, what we have is bad data added up correctly. -

I think the WTS does try to produce accurate numbers since accurate numbers will help their business model... HOWEVER... I know for a fact that the ones at the local congregations who manage the reports pad the numbers all the time in order to keep the local numbers as high as possible. They do this so the congregation will look as good as possible when the CO and DO inspect the congregation statistics.

So the WTS is a "spiritual" ENRON?
