Who was the famous politician, or king(??) who when he died the message was sent "the Old man is dead"?

The reason why I ask is that there is a theory that King George of England when on his death bed was 'hurried along' by the doctors and this message was sent.

I tie this in with the theory that Russell was piosoned or smothered, because when he died the telegram was sent to Rutherford in California with the message "the old man is dead." - Rutherford was in California because he had been asked to leave the Crooklyn Brothel.

    October 31, 1916 - Death of C. T. Russell
"A.H. MacMillan intercepted the telegram at the Brooklyn Bethel home and wired J.F. Rutherford, then at a convention in Oakland, Md., "The old man is dead." Rutherford returns to Brooklyn and assumes control." (Herald of Christ's Kingdom Special History issue 2003)

That Russell murder theory is an interesting one I am fascinated by all conspiracy theories, but is there some solid evidence that it did happen? Did Rutherford order it fearing that he would get expelled from the org?

I have also heard that this is how the news of Russell's death was conveyed, but it is also possible that Russell could have been referred to affectionately as "the old man" when he was still alive. In the past father figures have been referred to in this way. So, nothing either cryptic or dispespectful need be intended.

"A H Macmillan INTERCEPTED the telegram" - surely if it had been sent to him, it would say he "received the telegram" Who had it been sent to?

Sounds to me as if Rutherford Macmillan and Franz had already been cooking up mischief plans. Since Rutherford got Beth Sarim because the main thing was to get him out of crooklyn Brothel, maybe he was a trouble maker back then, and that's why he had to leave and go practice law in Californy.
