How would the jw's react to see a flag in my front yard? Knowing that his other half is not in the 'truth', would they even care? Or would they want him to take it down? One's going up either way. carla

They couldn't say anything, like they couldn't if he decided to put up an X-mas tree.

Oh, well, of course I put up Christmas stuff! In fact this year I should try to outdo all the neighbors. Husband always used to help with that sort of thing. Just wondering how things will really go once he gets dunked in the end of July. thanks, carla

I dunno carla, it's possible somebody will say something to him after he's baptised. Horrible nationalistic flags and pagan decorations? I'd imagine he'd be embarrassed at the very least. LOL

Carla ,they won't say much because i am sure the jws already know you are wordly and if it really bothers your husband ,fly as many as your yard can hold. I am so evil,,,,,lol

They might say he's the head of the household and shouldn't allow it.

Rebel, that would be funny! He knows my response that argument already- that quote from the Bible is for Christians. I don't consider jw's Christians so therefore it doesn't apply to him in this household! carla

Maybe he's ready for some red/white/blue after the fireworks!

Hehehe-I'd put a flags everywhere, even in flowerpots.
And as for Christmas, I'd do over-the-top decorating, then have your local newspaper reporter for the lifestyles section or whatever your paper calls it come and visit to show off your displays. Could you get away with it indoors?
(Now you know my plan for Christmas-LOL! I want to keep the local jw's apprised of our doings, and give them fodder for their cargroups at the same time. They can talk about how far my husband and I have fallen. Oh, evil me.)
