I was thinking of renting a billboard on Highway 71, which is a major thouroughfare in Texas between Austin and Houston, that has a pic of the silent lamb with the "X" on his mouth that says:
"Silent No More"

Then, people would get curious and go there and maybe it would spark some calls. I couldn't financially do it all by myself, but maybe we could all do it together. Just thinkin...

'Scuse my ignorance (I know "everything is bigger in Texas" ) but ,,, D-FW is quite a large urban area, isn't it? What's the population?
Next step, find out the costs, are we talking a couple thou? or more? As well as a price quote, they can probably tell you the amt. of traffic flow as well. Then weigh cost/vs visibility.
If this flies, we could do a silent auction. I would be willing to contribute a sculpture if we went that route.

I noticed a billboard going north on Hwy 121 a few miles after Hwy 35 E North. It said something about displaying ads for charity for free when it was not occupied by paying customers. I'll see if I can get the phone number it displayed.
I know exactly where you are talking about!!! That would get alot of good sightings!! The company my ex works for owns some billboards in Texas. Not exactly sure of all their locations. I can't call and ask, seeing how what ended the marriage was him screwing a girl that used to work in the office. But if you want their number just to ask, PM me!!

I am still wanting to rent a billboad on Highway 71 between Austin and Houston. I am still looking for ideas to put on it, and am still looking for contributions. Let me know by PM if you'd be willing to contribute for a full year rent of the billboard. AlthoughI am not sure of the price, I will let you know.

Actually this is a good idea.... I was thinking of doing something similar. taking out a large ad every now and then in my local paper saying
Jerusalem was not destroyed in 607BCE
and then in smaller print have a generic yahoo/hotmail type address which people can write to.
How much is the billboard total?
