did anyone read todays daily text?  monday 2/9/2015.says in the scriptures after elders go to sick (spir. or phys.) person and pray with them, if they have committed sins, Jehovah forgives them. says Nothing about disfellowshipping or anouncements or humiliations, shaming, shunning, etc..Jesus always told someone to go therefor and sin no more,

good catch, particularly since apostates, irregulars aka faders, and of course partakers, are mentally diseased.

Well, the governing body would say that they don’t have to rely on the Bible anyway because they have something far superior and grander: The Watchtower magazine (that is, only as it appears on their online library, covering from the year 2000 onward). And as for that Jesus guy, they would probably say that he was just the old mediator/savior (that is, before the current governing body on the block, who thinks they are everyone’s mediator/savior).

Elders coming to give encouragement to the physical sick is bs, my wife was bad sick for over a year w/o ever coming to encourage her, never visited her, she seemingly ceased to exist in their eyes. No DTD so she no longer counted.

    Know what's really funny?

I actually kind of half-expect to start hearing sentiments like that from uber-elders before too long.
