Actually saw A Perfect Circle in concert last summer. Loud and very moody. Norman Bates, I mean the lead singer, Maynard, performed the whole show in shadows or with his back to the audience. He really has disdain for his fans. It was loud, we were in the front of the mosh and crushed repeatedly. The nephew I took made the comment that all the people there reminded him of the ones at the Hall, (he was studying.. I put a stop to that) he meant that they were worshipful of the speaker on the platform the way all the kids were of Maynard.
"Good observation" I commended him. Nice concert.

I read the Constantine graphic novels when they first came out. Brilliant, I'll wait till it's on pay per view and I've got a bored moment, it's never going to be as good as the comics.

Definately not a brainy movie to be sure...but I like angry movies when I feel like I'm getting seriously depressed, snaps me to, gets me angry and reminds me not to let anyone or anything take my life again.
So like today, cleared out a bunch of sour memories first thing this morning by cleaning house, and then slammed into work full force just from the energy from getting angry and determined not to lose out because I let others make me feel like less of a person.
I'm really not a gloomy person, but sometimes I feel like I'm so alone, so I have to get in the mindset that I'm going to push through everything and be happy in spite of it all.

I liked it. It was a bit much in the violence department, but it fit the movie. I do like movies where the hero beats the odds and learns something about himself in the process.
What else did I see that was massively violent, but oddly compelling?.....Tarantino directed it....gads, now I'll have to go look it up.
