Now that was a great feeling. Septembers end I am going to Santana...

I think I am afraid to drive the car for fear that I will crash and not get to see them. Can you tell I just really love the music?

I have waited quite a while ...for this.! Yeah. Cheers to all

Now where is the salt and lime?

I'm jealous. Wish I could hear Santana in a live concert! Truely one of the greatest guitarists/artists ever.

Happydad- Yes Carlos is gonna make that guitar cry! I am so SO very excited. And I am not a huge concert fanatic. Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana, and bbking were all on the same stage with so many others last summer and I bought my 12 year old daughter and her friend tickets and we went. Now that was awsome! Took me 34 years but I made it to the crossroads. It was a joint birthday celebration for she and I. If I would have had the money I would have bought her friend a ticket this time too. But it was a pretty penny and now I must pay the piper.

Truly one of the greatest concerts you will ever attend. Saw him many years ago! Get a room for after the concert unless it's close to home....you will be exhausted!

I saw Santana a few years ago. He was fantastic.

Buddy Guy was the other half of the bill, and I've seen Buddy many, many times, starting in the late 1960s when he opened for Led Zeppelin at the old Worlds Fair grounds in NYC. What an awesome night that was.

Since then I've covered Buddy and BB King as a journalist many times, usually with a backstage pass, which is awesome. Have some great photos of Buddy and BB, and I got in with his guitar tech at one time and actually got to play the black and white polka dot Strat! I have a set of strings off it.

Part of the reason I'm mentioning this, is that the night I saw Santana and Buddy Guy, half way through Buddy Guy's set (we were really close to the stage) I realized that Santana was sitting on the edge of the stage listening to Buddy play. I thought that was a huge gesture of respect from one musician to another. And later that night they jammed together. As a guitarist, I have to tell you, the beauty of that moment had tears running down my cheeks.

    Enjoy your concert!

Carol-I think I am close enough. It is here in Dallas. But that would be fun...

Seeker- That would have been amazing. Buddy Guy was also at the crossroads fest last year that I saw with my daughter. There must be some appreciation there.
