How was Jesus perfect?

Today was a trying day with our 2 year old, so said to my wife, I wonder how Jesus was as a kid. If he was always into mischief, tantrums. She said he was perfect, so no he wasnt. That begged the questions, which my wife quickly dismissed as stupid and tuned me out, but what is the perfect child? I mean, did he ever stub his toe? Did he ever have diareah? At what age did he start speaking, so that we may know the perfect age that kids should start to talk? I could think of a ton of more questions, and I am sure you will post some more. But this is the kind of thing that i told my wife is easy to say(he was perfect) but hard to think about. Any thoughts?

It all depends on what your definition of "perfect" is. I don't think the New Testament says that Jesus was perfect, but that he was "like us in all things, except for sin."

good point gringo. this is the mental discontinuity that i rail against. people really don't think about their assumptions and assertions. they look at the critic as some weird creature. it's crazy.

did the teen jesus ever have pimples?
how are perfect teenager hormones different from sinner teenager hormones? was he sexual at all? did he ever have a sexual thought? was he asexual or heterosexual?
the bible relates that he didn't really know his purpose and history until those 40 days of sleepless meditation in the wilderness after his baptism. so how did he make sense of his perfection, with the lack of knowledge that he only later gained in the wilderness?
and thinking of DNA. was any of mary's DNA in him at all? if so, what about all of the junk DNA that makes the large majority of our genome? or was the entire genome from jehovah, and only mary was the host? and if so, how would god translate the spiritual qualities of perfection into DNA that lacked all of the evolutionary junk, and him still be human?
and did jesus have a vestigial organs and other things from sinful human evolutionary past? like (from runningman's post):

Well if JC was a normal male... then he had nocturnal emissions...which would make one "unclean" under the Law code and is a "sin" of sorts. He also ate meat... which many Dubs say isn't going to happen in their "new system"...which was a REQUIREMENT under the Law...eating the passover lamb (not turnip)...So no fly ever landed on his food? He never touched a menstruating woman? And don't say the angels protected him...if that's the case...HE didn't do it. We could do the same with "angelic" help...

if i remember correctly from similar threads, they say that nocturnal emissions would not make a person unclean, as they cannot help it. but a day time emission would mean he was strangling the monkey, and that would be bad. LOL. but i see what you mean. doesn't the law code say that people where unclean due to nocturnal emissions? of course, jesus was only required to be perfect with regards the law after he was baptised, and not before. and so his sacrifice would equal adam. what a crock.

if he got sick as a child, then that means he was genetically susceptible to disease, which means he could not have been perfect, or a product of Jehovah's specially designed genome that he inserted into Mary, somehow. if a virus, or bacteria was able to exploit his system, then what does that say about the son of god? would his genome not be the same as the rest of us then? and if so, then it also included all the junk DNA from our evolutionary past, which would have by extension made Jesus an ape like the rest of us. an African ape to be specific. think about it. how could jesus be a perfect man, and get sick too? would adam have gotten sick? and if you say that jesus could have gotten sick as a child, but still have been perfect as an adult, then what changed genetically when he was baptised? and how would this work? it's absurd, really.

assuming for the moment that Jesus was a real person

the bible indicates that as long as he did not violate THE LAW, the HS would guard him from harm and infection.

if Adam was perfect, the bible indicates that he was not by nature immortal but needed externals to live eternally[ see tree of life]

which indicates to me that Jesus' human body would likewise need the HS to be more than basic asside from his lack of genetic trash accumulated by other humans through history of viral invasions
